John Miller and I called ourselves The Songsmiths (1963-4), performing at every 
opportunity our unique arrangements of traditional and contemporary folksongs. 
John was last heard of with the San Francisco Opera in the early '70s.

THIS JUST IN! I recently reunited with John, my old pal and fellow Songsmith, 
who had taken the professional name of John MacAllister to further his singing career. 
He has retired from a classical singing career and is presently the COO of a software 
testing company in the San Francisco area. John found me by Googling and we 
reconnected in 2003 when I had a concert in Northern California; then in July 2004 
for a week in the California Redwoods. John remains an accomplished performer and 
raconteur, an inveterate prankster, and a generous and thoughtful human being.
